“DON'T STAY HERE. I've stayed at Hilton Garden Hotels for years but after this stay cannot do it any longer. Unbeknownst to me, the HG in Arcadia/Pasadena offers transitional housing. While I respect Hilton's outreach to the homeless, I don't want to stay at a hotel where people may be using drugs or having psychiatric issues that put my safety at risk. When I entered the lobby and saw two unkempt homeless folks and asked the front desk about it, I received a lecture and guilt trip from staff. They advised that anyone can stay at the hotel. I further asked if their transitional housing guests were lodged on one floor and learned that they are not. Can't understand why at a very minimum , HG wouldn't use one floor purposely for these guests. I guess this is another question we need to ask when making hotel reservations....Is yours a smoke free hotel? Do you allow pets? Do you house transitional/homeless folks? Goodbye Hilton, I'll be staying with Hyatt now.”
