“confusing experience: few years ago, I went to this hotel, I was there for a few days, it was quite normal and then the day just before I left Milan I asked the reception to call a cab for me. At 9am I got on the cab, after few minutes I realized that I forgot something and so turned back to hotel to get my stuff. I realized someone followed me once I am back to the hotel and followed me in the lift. She kept on writing on her phone nervously in the lift and when she pushed the button, she actually didnt know which one to choose. once I returned to my room, I saw the door wasn't closed. I found my luggage in a different place. I opened it nothing lost. I found really strange but I had an appointment so I left hotel. I only took a picture on how my luggage was placed, the stuff inside and the zip.
At 4pm I was back to the hotel and when I was back to the room, I realized my luggage was in another different place, which was the initial place that I put. The zip wasn't in-line with the picture I took. I opened it and found nothing was lost but my stuff wasnt in the right order. So I called the staff to ask him to come and try to understand why the luggage was moved and why their stuff messed up with my stuff in the luggage. On the phone I just said some issues with my room and please come.
So 2 staff came to my room, before even I opened my mouth, they asked me if I lost anything. Weird, how can they know? I understand at that moment I may be in danger when I remember the woman followed me in the morning, I called the cab with the hotel so they know my destination and time that will be spent. My return to the hotel was unexpected to them so they couldn't have time to put back my luggage and to close the door properly.
So I took all my stuff and checked out without replying them a single word. on my way i was thinking if it's not about money what were they trying to steal? Now I think I have finally the answer, I suspect the staff of this hotel may involve in passport trafficking. They let the thiefs come in and made deals with them.
I didn't share this story before because I didn't want to accuse people of something wrongly but I saw that I wasn't the only one that had this experience here. so I strongly recommend people to keep their passport with them yes this hotel is cheap and well located but can you afford the price of losing your passport”
